A busy day today. We had the Desert Foxes in a morning shotgun and the Hi-Lo Desert GCSA in a shotgun this afternoon. For anyone that doesn't know what the Hi-Lo Desert GCSA is, it's the local Golf Course Superintendent Association. Superintendents from all around the Coachella Valley and High Desert meet once a month to discuss common problems, have a little educational seminar and play golf. It gives us superintendents a chance to play some other golf courses to see what they are doing on there course that we might be able to incorporate into our own maintenance practices. This month we are hosting the meeting, which also gives me the opportunity to pick the brains of some of my peers, on certain issues that we have here on our course. It's like having 50 of the best consultants that money can buy, at no cost to us.
