I have spent the last two days with our Regional Superintendent and Corporate Agronomist touring the course discussing ways that we could control costs in this economy, without hurting course conditions. We all agreed that we could have some challenging times ahead.
It appears that we are getting some cutworms back in the greens again, so we will spray for them tomorrow. We also have the greens scheduled for fertilizing on Friday.
We have ended our agreement with Dan Mets (the Coot man) for the summer, but plan to hire him back in late September before the birds start to come backin the fall. We will also have the people out to treat for the Fire Ants again this year. They will be here on June 2nd. and 3rd. I think everyone would agree that both the Coot and Fire Ant projects have been a huge success.
