The deep drill aerification went pretty smooth this year with very little disruption to members or play. We should not have to aerify in August this year, as we did it last August and only do it twice every other year.
You're probably going to see a few more "hot spots" on the course then usual over the next week or so. One reason is the strong winds we've been having every night, but the main reason is because we've had some problems with our well pump shutting down at night and we've had to reduce the watering for a couple of nights to build the lake back up. Another reason is because we are having the course treated for Fire Ants again on Tuesday and we cannot water the course the night before treatment or the night after treatment.
