With this weather we're having, it's hard to believe it's the middle of June. The cooler weather is actually going to start hurting us if it hangs on too much longer. We need the temperatures to start heating up (I can't believe I'm saying that)to help promote the Bermuda grass or we could end up with an ugly transition later on. If it doesn't warm up pretty soon, we could end up with numerous bare spots out there. This cooler weather has kept the Rye grass healthier and more abundant then normal and when it does get hot, a lot of the Rye will check-out and dye all at one time, with very little Bermuda base underneath to fill it in.
