We're still plugging away with the fairway aerification and fertilizing, trying to get the transition areas to recover. If the wind would ever calm down in the evenings it would be a huge help getting better irrigation coverage. That would surely help these areas transition so much quicker. Unfortunately, we have very few quick couplers (hose connections) on the course. Our sprinklers are the older screw-in style, which will not allow us to use the retrofit quick couplers available to run a portable sprinkler from a hose like most other courses do when the need to make up for the lack of irrigation coverage caused by the wind.
