We worked all day Saturday and are working all day today because the weather man is predicting heavy winds the first part of next week. That would really put us behind schedule and cause us a lot of problems. By the end of today (Sunday) we should have holes number 1, 2, 3, 4 and 9 completely finished. Our goal is to have the course completely seeded by next Saturday (10/10/09). That would allow us more time to get all the other tasks completed that we have waiting to do before we open. Here's a list of just a few of the other tasks we need to get completed before we open.

1. Install the new par-3 yardage markers.
2. Trim and edge all the fairway yardage markers.
3. Edge the cart Paths.
4. Edge the bunkers.
5. Clean, paint and repair 36 ball washers, trash containers and spike brushes.
6. Replace the bed knives and sharpen the reels on all our mowers.
7. Apply the chemicals on the greens to control Pythium disease.
8. Apply the chemicals on the fairways to reduce the Bermuda Grass competition.
9. Apply the greens and fairway started fertilizers.
10. Repair or Replace 265 bunker rakes.
11. Paint 144 tee markers.
12. Ropes and stake the entire golf course.

This is just a partial list of what we need to get done in the 3 weeks we have once the seeding is completed. This doesn't even include any of the daily maintenance or mowing we need to do.
