It looks like we might be getting a frost pretty soon. According to the local weather, the nighttime temperatures will be dropping for the next few nights, with the best chance for frost on Friday morning. One of the busier golf days, of course. Anyway, in an attempt to keep any frost delay to a minimum, we have shut off all irrigation water for Thursday night. That will reduce the moisture on the turf, therefore reducing the amount (or severity) of the frost. That doesn't mean that we won't still have a frost delay, but it should help reduce the length of the delay.
