Yesterday and today we are pouring more fertilizer to the fairways. In the last three weeks we have put over 25 tons of fertilizer down. The basic rule of thumb is to try to get at least 2 pounds of Nitrogen per 1000 square foot applied on newly over-seeded turf before December. To date we have applied more then 4 pounds per 1000 square foot. If you do the math on fertilizing just our 40 acres of fairways, the results would be much higher, but we do a much wider area then just fairways. For example, on holes 1, 9, 10, 11 & 18, we fertilize everything from the cart path to the lake. So we are actually doing the immediate roughs as well.
