Just thought I would give a little update on our game plan on coot control going forward. We will continue fencing the lake on hole number 9 back as far as we can, but we don't want to fence so much that the coots just start jumping over it. We will also start dumping our grass clippings (although we don't have many with the cold weather) on the unfenced side of the lake to perhaps create a feeding area. Hopefully this will keep them off the fairways and from moving to other lakes. Should we see that they are starting to move to other lakes, we will start running the dogs in the early morning to see if we can get them to leave or relocate back to the big lake again where we can somewhat control them. We will also put out our coyote decoys when they arrive and continue with Coot & Goose Busters.
