Boy, we beat the wind by one day again this year. This is where we are hoping the new cart paths really help us. By being able to seed the front nine first, we are hoping that it has gotten enough water for the seed to start swelling and maybe even sprout and take some root to help hold it in place. And we're hoping the back nine is unaffected because it seems to be a little more sheltered from the wind. At least that's the theory anyway. Now we just need to worry if we are getting enough irrigation coverage in this wind. This older irrigation system doesn't do it's best work in the wind. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
We applied a preventative fungicide on the greens and approaches to help control or limit the possibility of disease.
Mowed the greens again today.
