Sun 10/12/08

Wow, what a difference a day makes. After taking the day off yesterday from touring the course, I could really tell the areas that are coming along fine and which ones we need to work on. The new red tee on 9 seems to be way behind the rest of the tees. I've double checked the sprinklers and they all appear to be fine in that area, although I'll bet we have repaired or replaced well over 50 sprinklers throughout the course so far, and it looks like there are still quite a few to go.
Tomorrow morning we will mow and fertilize the front nine fairways for the second time (first time on back nine) and we will chemically treat them to control the Bermuda regrowth on Tuesday. We will also be dropping the height of cut on the greens Tuesday to 1/4 inch.
