I've had a rather busy week trying to get everything not only caught up, but somewhat ahead of schedule if that is possible, because I will be out of town next week to attend the GCSAA National Conference and Show in New Orleans. This is the big annual event for the Superintendents Association that is held each February at various locations around the United States. It is a seven day conference that offers over 125 of the best taught one and two day continuing education classes and seminars available to Superintendents today. The education portion is followed up with a two and a half day Trade Show featuring hundreds of vendors showing off the latest in equipment, technology and golf course accessories. This is an idea place network with fellow Superintendents from all around the world while getting the continuing education points needed to maintain your GCSAA Class A status, Restricted Materials Permit and Pesticide Applicators License, all of which I hold and required continuing education hours to keep active.

On a quick side note, (pun-intended) the greens have already started to speed back up. (quick - speed, get it?) Yesterday morning they were rolling at 9.6 and yesterday afternoon as they started to dry out, they were rolling at 10.2
