It looks like we got a little frost damage on # 2 from our tractor tires yesterday morning. With us starting double tee or shotgun every day, we don't have the luxury to shut down nine holes to throw and water in fertilizer like most other properties do and sometimes it can come back to bite you. Fortunately it's not too bad and should recover fairly quickly.

I am glad that I attended the GCSAA Conference and Show this year, even though I had to pay for everything myself. It was interesting to see how much attendance was down from prior years because of the economy and budget cuts. Everyone I talked to said that they were going through severe cuts at their properties, with the exception of the clubs in the North that were shut down for the winter and a few of the higher end private clubs that just plan to access their membership. The good news was that there was a lot more one-on-one instruction in the classes and with talking to vendors on the trade show floor, because of the lower attendance. It is always such a great event and educational opportunity that it makes it well worth the expense.
