I knew it was windy last night, but I didn't think it was as bad as it ended up being. We lost a huge tree by number 9 tee and another tree snapped off between 1 tee and tennis. We also have a huge mess over the entire course to get cleaned up. It's amazing how often extra projects like this come up that pull our staff away from our normal and every day duties. We would much rather be raking the edges of the bunkers, or edging and pulling the grass out of them instead of cutting and hauling off branches. Another factor is that it takes a pretty good chunk of our budget to get all these branches hauled off so that the Fire Marshall doesn't fine us.
