I met with a few of the members in the grill room this morning to discuss the "Gate System" that some of the members have requested that we use. I will be getting some pricing for them on a couple of different options for gates and agreed to use them on a trial basis come next season. I personally still believe that the 90 degree rule is a better option, simply because, as someone that is trying to create the best possible playing condition, I have a hard time telling golfers to leave the cart path to drive on the turf. Even though that's my opinion, I'm willing to try what the members want. The most important thing is going to be educating everyone. We can post signs, place articles in news letters, include a flyer in with billing and plaster it all over the club, but unless all members are willing to do this and police other members, it will not be successful.
