I can't believe we have only got a week left until we open. I'm not too concerned about the turf because for the most part, it is coming along just fine, although the last few holes seeded still have some thin areas. But in another week, they should be fine. However, we do have so many other things left to do. Here's just a partial list. We have most of the bunkers left to get edge. We still have a few of the cart paths left to get edged. We have to install all the new yardage markers on the par-3 tees. We have got to trim the grass around all the yardage markers in the fairways. We have to get the rest of our fairway, rough and tee/approach mowers sharpened. We have to get the entire property mowed down to our desired opening heights and get the excess grass clippings picked up. And finally, we have to get the entire golf coursed roped from tee to green and I'm sure there are several things that I am forgetting. This may be the reason why I roll my eyes every time someone says "Hey the course is looking great, any chance we can open early"?
