Today, our Regional Superintendent David Hay stopped by to take a look at our bunkers to see if there was anything we could do to improve there playability. After some discussion, we concluded that we should try starting our nightly watering a couple of hours earlier, even though it will increase our electric costs because of the time-of-use rates we are on. That should help them by giving them extra time to soak in and dry out before we rake them. We also concluded that we should figure out some way to manufacture some extra weight to put on the sand trap rake blades. This should help to smooth them out. Hopefully, taking these steps will improve the overall smoothness and playability of the sand.
