Well, I'm not too sure anymore if the rain helped us more then hurt us. We ended up with just over a half-inch total (0.56), but it came in heavy downpours instead of a light steady rain, which would have been ideal. We lost a bunch of the newly planted flowers, especially coming up the club driveway, but we have plenty extra so we only really lost some labor hours. It's pretty much guaranteed that we lost seed in some of the areas that had not yet germinated, as well as some in the thin areas that we had recently spot seeded. The problem is that you can't really tell if you lost seed or not until it starts to germinate. But were running out of time. We're less then two weeks away from opening. Another huge concern is with as wet as everything is, that it is perfect weather for disease. If we get hit with any disease on the greens right now, we might not have enough time to re-seed and get it germinated and healthy enough to mow at the low heights required for a putting green. We will just have to evaluate everything the best that we can and move forward.
