Over the next few mornings we will be throwing fertilizer on the fairways and roughs, which should help them recover from the heavy frost. What we really need though is warmer weather. We can pump all the fertilizer we like, but if the soil temperature doesn't increase enough for the plant to start growing and take the nutrients in, it won't do a lot of good. Even if we get into the seventies, we still need bright sunlight to heat up the soil.
