I just received some sad news. Ed Salcedo, our crew foreman who had just returned to work 11 days ago after having quadruple by-pass surgery, was re-admitted to the hospital today. His wife left me a message stating that he didn't feel well this morning and when they took him in, they immediately put him into the intensive care unit with what they think might be another blocked artery. I will try to keep you updated as I hear anything.
We were pretty rushed this morning with the 7:30 AM shotgun start for the ClubCorp Charity Classic. It's always tough to try to get everything done in less than two hours for a shotgun start when the first hour is in the dark. Especially when we are painting the cup holes white and putting out all new tee towels, along with all our regular duties. But we got it done, as we always do, thanks to the fantastic crew we have. I wish everyone could see how hard these guys actually work each morning, in extremely hot or cold temperatures, to try to make your golfing experience as wonderful as you deserve.
