On Thursday morning we have a guy coming out from Desert Sky Cam, which is a company that does aerial photography with radio controlled airplanes. We've got them coming out for a slightly different reason though. He claims that he can use his planes to not only chase the Coots off property, but it will keep them off also. He tells me that he has another guy that works with him and there process has been successful at another property. One guy keeps his plane in the water and chases the Coots around the lake until they leave the water and take flight. The other plane harasses them from the air and chases them out of the area once they take flight. They said that they come back and repeat this every day for about 7 to 10 days or until the Coots no longer return. After that, they install a decoy in the lake that keeps them away. These guys got my name and number through a fellow superintendent that told them I might be interested because I've been asking around about Coot control, so they gave me a call and we set up the demo for this Thursday morning. We should get a little bit more detailed information on how much they charge and stuff like that when they're here on Thursday. I sure hope it works and it is something that is affordable.
