OK, the rain can stop at any time now. We've had as much as we need to get the benefits. Now as much as I would like the rain to stop, I do want the clouds to stay, at least until morning anyways. If it quits raining now and the clouds clear, it will probably get extremely cold tonight. That means FROST, and it will most likely be a hard freeze because of all the moisture in the ground. We don't need that. If the clouds hang around until morning and then clear, that would keep it from freezing tonight and it would also give us a whole day to let the rain soak in, which would help. I'm afraid that no matter what happens, when the skies clear we will get frost. All we can hope for is that it isn't a hard or prolonged frost.
It would be nice if the rain could at least stop for the Board of Governors Dinner tonight. I am looking so forward to this because I don't very often get the pleasure to sample the wonderful delights that Chef Rocco puts together.
