The first day back from vacation is always so much fun. Only 23 voice messages, 87 emails and a stack of invoices too high to think about. I'm sure everyone is more concerned about when we will speed up the greens and get the ropes down, then about all the work that I have stacked up. Well, we slightly lower the greens from the current height of 0.116 to 0.109 for tomorrow mornings mowing, and then we will evaluate them in about a week to see if we can lower them more. As for the ropes, we plan to open them up so that members can enter the fairways through the "gates" for the Ladies Guest Day on November 12th, then re-close them until the Orange Ball Tournament. We will open them up the same for the Orange Ball Tournament as we will do for the Ladies Guest Day, entering and exiting through the "Gates". We will evaluate the fairways after that to determine if we can take the ropes down permanently at that time.
