We need everyone's help! We have had several requests already to change out the large sand & seed containers at holes number 3, 6, 10 and 14 because the sand is too wet to use. The sand we originally put in those is our expensive kiln-dried sand that we use to top-dress greens. It is 100% dry when we fill them. The reason it gets wet is because the lid is left open and any day or night watering gets it wet. If everyone can get in the habit of closing it after they fill up, instead of leaving it open thinking that the last person will close it, we wouldn't have this problem. In the past we have had the Marshal's close them, but they usually leave long before the golfers are finished. We are going to try putting some "Please keep lid closed" signs inside of them, but it will take an effort on everybody's part to make it happen. We would greatly appreciate it if you are out there and see the lid open, to please take a second to close it.
