The Coachella Valley Mosquito and Vector Control will be out Friday (tomorrow) to treat the entire property for Fire Ants. One drawback is that we need to leave the irrigation water off for 24 hours prior to treatment, so that the ants can pick the bait up and carry it to the queen before the water dissolves the chemical. With the temperatures pushing the 100 degree mark this weekend, and the howling winds we have had recently, we could be looking at a number of "Hot Spots" popping up in the next few days.
