I don't believe that I ever remember a December as consistently cold as this year has been. I don't think we have had a single day that the temperature has gotten above the 60's. The 3 days of frost back in November really turned the Bermuda yellow and it's just not warm enough to get anything growing. And if the turf is not growing, it doesn't matter how much fertilizer you throw, it just sits in the soil because the plant won't take it in. Now, once the temperature does warm up, we should see a pretty quick green-up because the nutrients are just sitting in the soil waiting for the turf to become active.
