We measured the green speed this morning on several greens and they averaged out at about 7.5 on the stimp meter. They were previously rolling at 7.0 before they were lowered last Wednesday. This Friday, after we mow the greens in the morning, we are scheduled to lower the height of cut on the greens again by about 1/32 of an inch for Saturday mornings mowing.
Then on Monday morning, we are scheduled to start top-dressing the back nine greens (very lightly) to fill in the many unrepaired ball marks we have and help smooth them up. On Tuesday we will single tee everyone off of number 10 tee so that we can top-dress the front nine greens without disrupting any play.
