Today we had the pleasure of having Frank Wong, PhD from the University of California Riverside and Kimberly Gard of Syngenta Professional Products on property. They were here because Doctor Wong, in cooperation with Syngenta Professional Products, are doing research work on Pythium Disease Control on over-seeded turf. Several months ago I had volunteered our property for this project because we always fight Pythium Disease during over-seeding. They will be doing trials on the back driving range tee and on the approach to # 17 green. These trials should not be disruptive to our membership in any way, but they should tell us which products work best and at which rates we should be applying them at for optimum results. This should save us some time and money, as well as being a big help to Doctor Wong and his research.
