What a great time I had in Alaska. I caught some nice fish and even got to watch my fishing guide shoot a Grizzly Bear that was trying to get into his Mother-in-Laws house. But boy did it seem hotter then ever here upon my return. (Probably because it was) On the flight coming back I could see all the brown golf courses from the air and I was actually afraid to see what our course looked like. However, I wasn't overly surprised at all the transition areas we had after seeing other properties from the air. Especially knowing how cool it was in June, you just knew that when it got hot we would lose a lot of the Rye grass all at one time. It should start to recover pretty quickly though. All in all, the staff did a pretty good job while I was gone and kept the greens in great shape. Now it's getting caught up on all the paperwork and starting to think about over-seeding.
